Inaprubahan ngayong Martes ng Kapulungan ng mga Kinatawan sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, ang pagpapalit ng Espesyal na Komite sa Flagship Programs and Projects, bilang isang ganap na standing committee. Kamakailan ay hinirang si Rep. Claude Bautista (Lone District, Davao Occidental) upang pamunuan ang Komite.
Kinabibilangan ng 20 miyembro, tutugunan nito ang “all matters directly and principally relating to the monitoring, evaluation, and review of highly strategic infrastructure programs and projects identified and approved by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board Committee on Infrastructure and/or the Investment Coordination Committee and included in the General Appropriations Act, including the proposal of possible game-changing and high-impact flagship programs and projects, and the necessity of recommending requisite courses of action in relation thereto.”
Sa pamamagitan ng pagpapalit, tatalakayin na ng lupon ang mga panukala na nangangailangan ng tuloy na tuloy pag-aaral sa lehislasyon, atensyon, at hakbangin. Pinangunahan ni Deputy Speaker Raymond Democrito Mendoza ang hybrid na sesyon sa plenaryo ngayong araw.
